these nets have a weak spot where net connects to handle, spoke with company and they denied having an issue. I fixed mine, by heating a piece of PVC pipe ( appropriate size) in the oven to soften it then sliding it over the weak joint and let it harden again. works great!!! Watch the PVC in oven, don't burn your house down! only takes a few minutes to soften it like a noodle.

Ego won't stand behind warranty if purchased from Amazon FYI
First, these nets are garbage. They will work great for 1 year and then the handle will quit working smooth. I've owned three and they are all the same. Just had my hoop bust off the handle, less than a year old. Put in a warranty claim on there site and because I bought from Amazon they won't help. They did email back and state they are sending me the end of the handle that I have to fix myself. Complete joke! Don't buy!

Seems to be a trend with this product... Net delivered, no handle Let's see if Amazon can get the handle delivered before the weekend fishing trip... + Amazon came through with the replacement in time for weekend. - We tested the ability of the net to float while in the water with it. It did float... for maybe a minute at most, and then began to sink. + I do like the handle design. We'll see if it holds up. Bottom line = Not sure if this is worth the extra $$$ over other nets. Was really buying for the floatation claims as we bought this to replace a previous net that made its way overboard and sank.

Cool design
I use this net on my boat and makes landing a fish solo very easy with the telescoping handle. I also like the various attachments you can get. Loses a star for not floating and this is my second one as a result.

A really great landing nt
This is a great net. The telescopic handle makes landing a fish very easy on a pier. I like the coated net material, it doesn't seem to take the protective slime off Speckled Trout, and hooks do not get tangled. At first I thought it was a bit pricey, but it's well worth the investment.

really impressive mechanism for extension. Only concern is it has a little side to side wobble, have yet to scoup up first walleye with it. update, need to put a set screw to keep net from getting loose.

Nice net, but a little heavy
The net part did not screw into the handle with any degree of ease. I needed help from another person to get the threads started into the handle. Net threads were nylon and handle had metal threads and they did not want to go together. It took some force to accomplish. Aside from that, it extends and retracts well.

It's no Beckman, but since you can't get a Beckman anymore, it's not bad. Keep a spare handle in your boat though.
