One flaw

Hubby's review: These boots fit well and seemed very well made. The one flaw was a ridge-like seam that cut across the back of the heel in each boot - very uncomfortable. Without that seam, I would have happily kept these boots. Very disappointed.

Very comfortable and provide great ankle support.

After five months of daily use and 25 miles of hiking per week , I believe I still have at least six months of good use out of them. Great comfort and ankle support. I’ve owned many Ecco boots and they are super comfortable .Unfortunately the soles always wear out much faster than the upper materials.

Fit ,finish and all around comfort of these work boots plus truly waterproof not just water resistant makes this pair of Ecco’s fall into the same class as all previous Ecco purchases of mine. Well pleased These are mens just the account is in my wife’s name ????

Great all around boot

I am really enjoying these if you get hot feet these seem to breathe very well and unlike the Hydromax the outsole has really been holding up well. The grip is pretty good but not the most technical hiking boot out there. My only Con is because they are more Italian in styling the toe point is kind of long and you just need to really pull the laces tight to keep heel form shifting too much.

Ecco makes world-class hiking boots.

This is a replacement for my precious pair that I have worn for many years. I love the fit and the ankle support. The heel loop to pull them on is a nice upgrade. Also, the Michelin sole seems to be have the best grip I’ve ever had. Best boots (both pair) that I have had since my Asolo 555 from 30 yrs ago.

Not Quality of thier original Boots !

I believe these are my 4th or 5th pair of hiking boots I have purchased from ECCO over the years ! I wore all the others out over time ! ECCO seems to discontinue their models quite often ! I wish they would carry them longer ! I would of liked to order the same boot ! Style seems more important then quality to them ! I guess that is marketing ? These are probably my last pair ! Sorry ,they have had some really good Gore-tex Boots in the past !

My favourite hiking boot.

I wore Ecco's for a decade for backcountry camping. I never took care of my 1st pair, and they finally died last year. I've had this boot for a season now. Right out of the box it's a light, flexible, and comfortable boot. The soles are so tough that you don't feel jagged rocks or roots on the trails. And they've been tested crossing running creeks all the way up to the ankle, keeping my feet completely dry. I've tried some of the other major hiking brands, and I just always want to come back to Ecco's. With proper care(clean after use, and treat the leather) I don't see why this boot can't last me a decade or more in the backcountry. I'm very pleased.

Impressive boots

I compared quite a few boots around this price level. ECCO aren't known for their walking boots, so it was a bit of a gamble, but the spec is great and you can see that the designers knew what they were doing. These are reasonably light and are ideal as a mid way boot between walking shoes and hardy winter walkers. But that's not to say that I wouldn't be confident in using them in all conditions. ECCO have gone for a grippy rubber sole rather than a common Vibram version and only time will tell if that's a better choice - I suspect so, given the variety of quality under the Vibram moniker. These boots are very comfortable and grip you feet snugly. They ooze a sense of quality in the workmanship. I think it's difficult to find a boot as good as this for the price, despite the range of choices available. So put these on your list if you are looking for a top of the range lightweight hiking boot.

Top quality boots !

Superb boots. Love them so much that this is my second pair. First pair were comfortable from day one, durable (have worn them almost every day walking my dog and hiking in Lakes since purchase in August '21), completely waterproof and to cap it all, they are stylish too ! Would highly recommend.

Best boots

I love these. comfiest boots ever. i have had issues with my ankles & feet for years and require good support and not too much pressure on the arch. these are perfect and look great too! only comment is they are not perfect for driving, and the matt finish is easy to scrape/scratch off the patterning/ribs at the back (i was most disappointed when i first saw that).
