High Quality Sling

It is so important to get the right size sling. I care for my sister with cerebral palsy in our home. I am her full time caregiver and when she came to live with us, she had an extra large sling and when she was toileting, it swallowed her up. I got to looking on Amazon, where I get all of her medical products, and realized she had the wrong size all along. After going to the medium sling, she weighs 119 pounds and is 5' 2", toileting is much more pleasant and she is much more comfortable. I can say that all Drive Medical Products have always been of the highest quality.

I really like this sling makes it less painful when I transfer my mom from bed to wheelchair. she has a wound on her sacrum the full body sling without the opening presses more against the wound this is why I purchased it not for toilet usage.

Great sling but falling apart

This sling is/was great. The best part about this sling is that the mesh is not slippery and my Mother doesnt slide out of her wheelchair. This one also has a commode opening making her more stable when transfering her with the hoyer. I bought this sling on Sept 12, 2012 and tonight on December 10, 2012 I noticed it unraveling on one of the seams. Its not the main seam where the straps are, but close and it makes me uneasy. I got online to see what I can do and it says that I cannot return it, nor find out who I can contact about it. I think for $100 this should be 100% safe, after all its like new to me. Could someone please contact me about a replacement?????

comes pretty large for a "medium"

Very strong, comes pretty large for a "medium", could have used a small for our 5'6", 140 lb patient.

Safe and color coded

Our previous sling had metal bars and chains which were a hazard. I much prefer this one and the color coding helps when determining position for the patient

I purchased the lift and both are perfect to move mom who is bedridden. Easy to use. Makes taking care if mom easy.

Defective and warranty doesn't exist

After 2 washes the stiches on the commode opening starting to come apart. I wrote to Drive Medical customer support, but the only thing they did was they asked me for my details. I sent them the details and they disappeared and don't respond. So, their products actually don't have any warranty as it turns out...
