Great Support

Dealing with patellar tendonitis prior to ordering the knee straps. I tried several different products, and ultimately I liked the donjoy knee straps the best. They provided mild pain relief when the symptoms were at their worse. I have continued using these while I run I did notice I recovered more quickly by using the knee straps. Since the use of the straps, my knee pain is almost completely gone after a few weeks of use. I have been running approximately 20-25 miles a week with the assistance of these straps. I also found the quality of the straps to be greater than the other straps I tested which also had high reviews. The knee straps give great support to the knee cap and patella tendon. I did have a small discomfort behind my leg where the straps were located. I realized I was tightening the straps too much causing the issues. Once i loosed the straps a little the discomfort went away, but they still provided ample support.

Comfortable after...

I have this 5 stars for comfort with an asterisk (*)... The fifth star came after I trimmed the sharp corners of the straps to round them off... The silicone support is awesome and the padded straps are nice, but those sharp cornered hard plastic ends suck. They were poking and cutting up behind my leg when I had to bend my knee, so I took a pair of scissors to them and rounded them off - perfect!

I use this for both my long and short runs and hold well during my runs. Not uncomfortable and my knee feels good while on and during runs

Velcro wears out, like others have said

I've had it for about 2 weeks now, and only have used it a few times. I've started to notice that the strap will come undone when I bend my knee. Whatever form of generic velcro they use on this strap isn't doing the job!

Not comfortable behind the knee.

Love the actual supporting part it’s perfect shape soft flexible material snug under the knee cap but the Velcro straps behind the knee are terrible. I used this for an intense day hike and have 3 sores on back of knee. But I had almost zero knee pain after a 7000 ft decent.

Not pleased

This product did prove to be comfortable but I found it to have very little support on my patella tendinitis to make a difference

It actually works!

I tore my meniscus and ACL last year. I had surgery at the end of March. I recovered well/fast, and June I had the OK to ease back into things. But still, a year later, it hurts to jog/run, hike long distances (esp going down hill), or the first few steps after sitting at the computer for a while are a bit wobbly. My other knee is just fine, but the knee I had surgery on just isn't 100%. So I got this before a trip where I knew I'd be hiking loads. I didn't get how a tiny strap would help. But it does. I wasn't sore at all. I don't really like the feel (I get sweaty behind the knee, and you have to keep it tight), but it does help me not get sore. So it's worth it! I bought another brand at the same time, just to be sure (I couldn't decide based on reviews), but I like this DonJoy much better. This will be my strap of choice.

Please don’t buy

As many costumers, I my strap tear appart when I was playing. It happened 2 weeks after the 1 month warranty so no refund no nothing. Please do yourself a favor and check for another one, you can get more for less.
