Great light once installed. Mounting screws provided are way too short!!!

This ceiling light fixture needs much longer mounting screws to make it easier to mount the ceiling light to the bracket. The short screws provided make you move the fixture flush with the ceiling that you can't see where to screw it into the bracket. You end up basically searching blindly for the hole in the bracket and wasting a lot of time! Fortunately, I was able to put to use the the 2 longer screws from my old ceiling light. They certainly helped alleviate further frustration and allowed me to continue with my installation. Be forewarned, if you buy this light fixture and you want an easier installation, be sure to have 2 screws long enough to screw the fixture into the bracket (that you attached to the junction box). The ones I used were about 4 inches long - the ones that were provided were about half the size. With the longer screws I was able to see without the fixture being in the way and easily align the screw with the holes in the bracket. These screws allowed me to finish in less than 5 minutes! I had already wasted 30-40 minutes! Except for having to lose a lot of time with the installation, the light looks great and I'm very happy with it!

Terribly designed mounting mechanism, screws inside too short. Looks good once it's up though.

If you've read a bunch of reviews about how this was a pain to mount and thought, like me, maybe I'll be one of the lucky ones and it won't be too hard cause I have the right box in the ceiling, be afraid! I deal with fixtures for a living and this was one of the most poorly designed and supplied fixtures I have ever had the displeasure of hanging. If you have your own longer screws it's a bit easier. Also important to note that the hole placement on the fixture seems to line up best with the furthest threaded holes on the supplied mounting bracket, so make sure when you are lining it up nearly blind you aim for those two as the closer ones would be even more difficult due to the sub optimal angle of approach. That all said, now that I got one up, it looks great. The glass is beautiful and is easier to get on and off than fixtures with a threaded rod holding or three screws on the outside holding the glass in place. And the brass base is near black or very dark brown and modern looking. For the price I am totally happy with these.

Nice light! A bit challenging to install though!

I really like this light fixture. I needed to up the lumens in my home office, and the house was built with a similar looking fixture that only held one bulb. This one holds two! I was looking for something nice looking to blend in. What I really like about this style is that the glass holds itself with some notches in the base, while most of these styles have a metal "nut" that connects to a post and the nut sits at the very bottom of the light, so there is a little "nipple" at the bottom that ruins the clean look of the glass (sorry that is the only thing I can think of to describe it!) One thing to note with this kit, for me at least the mounting screws that came with it were too short for my specific wiring box, so I just used the ones that were already there from the old fixture. You may or may not have to do the same, it will depend on the specifics of your mounting box and depth.

Looks good

Cons: Had some difficulty mounting the base because of needing to align screws into the mounting holes. The base was a little bent on the edge when it arrived but I was able to straighten it out. Pros: I like how the glass cover simply screws onto the base. It looks nice without a center mounting post that most other light fixtures usually have for the glass cover.

Good quality

I replaced a small one-bulb fixture with this 14" 2-bulb fixture to increase the brightness. After the installation, it worked fine and looked good. The material is sturdy and attractive. I liked the screwless bulb cover that twists into the base without the ugly little holding screws. The installation kit included everything I needed. Installation difficulty was about average. I had to cut the insulation in half with scissors and remove it to install the threaded screws, then put the insulation back in place, otherwise it would be too difficult to attach to the ceiling box.

These are not white. The plastic has yellowed if it's supposed to be white.

The alabaster glass is beautiful, however these are going in newly painted ceilings and we had to spray paint them because they were a very dingy white. Thus the overall low score. High marks for easy install and overall look once painted.

Works Fine

Light is perfect for our remodeled kitchen. A bit tough to line up the bolts that hold up the fixture to the ceiling box fitting. Takes awhile to locate the holes, but after installed it works great. Plenty of light with three 60 watt equivalent LEDs.

Great look and value.

I like these so much better that the typical boob lights. I found these at a lighting store for 80 eac. Same model number and everything. It is a great value and it looks amazing. I like the 17 in version the best!
