Perfect Sterling replecement

These were very easy to install, shower diverter and h/c on/off work perfectly - leaks are gone! The hard part was removing the old stems and seats! Took a 12" Channellock and seat wrench. The image shows the old valve stems and seats that needed replacing. These had been installed since ~1965 and didn't come off without some elbow grease! The Danco replacements fit perfectly, and took only 15 minutes. Kit comes with everything you need except for a seat wrench.

rubber parts in kit are too soft made out of the wrong type material.

I had to replace washers and packing material around stems. The washers were so soft that the screw head would go through the washer then come out. I had to get one screw out of shower pipe. Packing was so soft that when you the tightened the packing nut to stop them from leaking they would bind on stems and be hard to turn. Wrong material used. This caused me to have to go back to job 4 times.

Everything you need included in kit. Easy installation.

Kit includes everything needed to update your Sterling brand tub and shower faucets. Whole job took less than 30 minutes. Very limited instructions included but suggest watching Youtube videos before starting unless you've done jobs like this before.

Easy fix that works

Worked like a charm to replace our old faucet. The kit even includes the tools to remove the old nobs and innards.

complete kit was what I needed UNFORTUNATELY I could not remove the diverter stem from my bath tub; called a plumber and he also could not remove now into single faucet and opening back wall. Kit was what I hoped fro, Mike Returned
