Will not cut badly damaged/fouled threads

I purchased these to chase a bunch of NC threads that were hot dip galvanized after the huge pieces were completed. These dies will/can only chase a damaged thread, not one with material to remove in them. It will not actually cut anything well. If you look at the cutting angle you will notice that the cutting surface is leaned forward, not aft. If any big dings are encountered this will drive overtop of them jamming it on the threads, not cut the damaged part. If you work it enough back and fourth they will eventually clean heavily damaged threads. I ended up buying another few regular dies from another vendor with the cutting angle leaning backwards (the 6 holes were drilled in a slightly larger circle). The regular ones cut/cleaned the threads with minimal effort with excellent results. The only reason this is getting two stars and not one is because it does say “re-threading”, but 90% of all dies on here are labeled for “re-threading” too... these guys really mean it and only for minor damage.
