I have worn this for years. It stays on all day and is seamless. I have multiple colors and this is my most neutral color that I go to. No plans in changing and I’ve tired multiple kinds, colors and brands.

Long Lasting but...
First of all, I love this type of lipstick for all day color and shine. It's a two part process, you put on the color, wait for it to dry (1 minute) then you can put on the clear shiny slicker over and over all day and makes your lips look wet and wild all day. The 4 stars is because the color I ordered #585 is not the same color #585 as the tube I bought in the store. Although the packaging is the same. So it was not really the color I was looking for.

Nice, Quiet, Modest Mauve; Fades Too Soon
I like this nice, modest mauve color. It's not strong like some of my more traditional go-to's -- like the fuschias, grapes and strong cherries -- but I'm trying lighter colors to see if they slightly highlight my (shrinking) lips as I get older. I've used the CG Outlast lipsticks for 2+ decades and I've liked them because they stayed on a very long time. But I gave this #585 only 3 stars because the newer CG formulations are not lasting nearly as long. I found a couple newer colors stay on several hours but most, including Mauve Muse, have faded within perhaps 3-4. And if I want to maintain the color through the day or night, I must also reapply after eating or even just drinking liquids. Why is it that so many long-standing products these days that used to offer exceptional quality are sinking into mediocrity - and worse? Is it corporate laziness or greed, inattention or sheer disregard for consumers' opinions? Perhaps they think we'll just stay for the ride. To a quickening degree, my own loyalty is fading just like the makeup on my face.
