Don’t hesitate-this is a great curling iron! I like that there is also a place on end big enough to hold onto while curling hair-some have just the end tip coated and causes you to grab the end and get burned. Love this one!

Pure Perfection
Tried a few of the newer curling irons but nothing is like the old standard and Chi of course makes the best. I have think long hair and it takes less time with this curling iron. Heats up fast and really seals the cuticle for a beautiful shiny curl. Buy it!

Didn't curl my hair...
This curling iron hasn't really worked at all on my hair. I'm a big fan of the CHI line and have used their straighteners and curlers in the past with a lot of success. I have medium curly hair, that usually works pretty well with curling and straightening irons. So I think that the main problem with this curling iron is just that the barrel is too big to get really good curls. I've tried leaving my hair wrapped around it for longer (but not too long!), I've tried using curling products before using it, I've tried using lots of hair spray before and after curling. It just doesn't work that well. Usually I can get one big curl out of it that lasts about ten seconds before it falls flat again. The quality of the curler was OK (not great). The red part at the top is a little wierd and looks like it has just been glued on, so I'm not sure what purpose it serves. But overall, for the price, this line of curlers is pretty good. But I would say if you want big barrel curls, maybe go for the 1 inch curler? This is just too big to be effective.

Heavy and awkward but creates beautiful beach curls
It’s very heavy and awkward. If you go slow it does creat a nice loose curl. Very loose curl. Not good for short hair and above the shoulders.

I had used my daughters and loved it. So I bought my own. A bit bulkier than I am used to, but it gives me the curl that I wanted. Nice long cord. Would recommend

Very pleased
I love this. I waited over a year to review this and this is still as impressive as it was when I got it, truly a great purchase. It heats up in seconds and is easy to adjust to just the right temp. I have fine straight hair and this is perfect to add lift and body to my crown. It's got just the right amount of grip. The only minor thing I'd change is the cord length. I do my hair in a small half bath and find the cord quite long for the space I have to work in. Perhaps others find it just right? If I ever needed to replace it I'd purchase the same one in a heartbeat. Great quality, great design, and a tool that truly works as intended.

Horrific curling iron
Not good at all. I dont understand how everyone else gave good reviews ... I own the CHI flat iron and this curling iron is nowhere near as good as the flat one. Does not hold the curl at all (maybe because the barrel size is too big). Very hot to the point that it burns your hair to the point of it smelling bad. My hair is naturally wavy so should not be that challenging to curl. I have a $30 wand that I purchased a year ago that curls better than this $100 CHI curler. Will be returning it. Not worth the money.

It's got great clamp grip - no slip
It's got great clamp grip - no slip. Heats up fast and hot. But I find that it is too heavy to handle. It is longer in length than I anticipated. It doesnt fit into my drawers nor cabinet heights in the bathroom. Therefore, design is a rated 3.
