Pump hard to work

Hard to figure out how to make pump work. Eventually did but wonder if there is a better way of dispensing. Good chamois cream though!

great cream; DONT GET PUMP!

When Sportique Century Riding Cream became impossible to get in the States, Chamois Butte'r picked up where Sportique left off. As an avid road cyclist in need, I quickly discovered Butt'r did a great job of minimizing saddle sores and made long rides/century rides more comfortable. **JUST DONT BUY PUMP** PRODUCT TOO THICK for pump design. I rinced out, as one review mentioned. It pumped water from the sink w/o problem but no pumping of product when I replated the wand in the 32 oz bottle. Trying to be more conscious of all the disposable plastic. BUTT'T PLEASE FIX!

Pump does work - just takes a bit of work

To make the pump work: unscrew and mix the contents so that it isnt built up on just one side. Then, cover the pump hole and pump it 5-10 times so it is bringing up product and not air. Then, remove your finger and pump 5-10 more times. I had to repeat this process 2-3 times but now it works perfectly.

Great product, defective pump

Love the product, but the pump doesn’t work. I got this bigger size for the ease of the pump, only for it to be defective when it arrived. Didn’t bother returning as I needed this for my long rides. Nice and thick, nice scent, doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin.

Good but I will stick with the tube.

I have used the ButtR in the cream quite some time. It's excellent.. It's all expensive.. I thought to use the pump because it would be more convenient. And lotion and cream are different. I am going to use the rest of this up but I will stick to the tube from now on.

Pump did not work

Great product but pump did not work had to cut bottle open to get stuff of and put in into another container wish they would go back to the jars again

Bottle pump does not work

This is GREAT chamois cream but I had to give it only 2 stars because the pump does not work. I have to take the pump off, tip the bottle, shake and squeeze it to get the chamois out. Although not as cost effective, I'll go back to the smaller plastic tube where you squeeze out the chamois like from a toothpaste tube. The chamois cream is great. The original version feels like jalapenos on your stuff. The Her version is not. It is soothing.

As long as you know ahead of time

That the cream is way too viscous to come out of the pump then this is great. I use another plastic container and squeeze a bunch out at a time. Aside from that its the good stuff and works well.

Economical purchase

Great product overall, but as mentioned by others, the pump system leaves something to be desired. The thickness of the cream makes getting the pump started a PITA. I warm the pumpless bottle in the microwave on defrost until the cream becomes more fluid, then loosly place the pump in the bottle and simultaneously push the tube in and out of the cream while pumping. This gets it started and works well after that.... until you get near the end. Once near the end, I just cut open the bottle with a box knife and scoop the remainder into a Tupperware container.

Works great

Although many reviews say the pump doesn't work. It does. Took a few tries, but just had to stab the cream a bit and mixed it initially, then it came out perfectly. Chamois buttr works great! An alternative is sudocrem, however, sudocrem can be sticker and thicker (a plus I think because it sticks the chamois to you, eliminating chaffing), but I do feel as though there's more heat with sudocrem.

Amazing!

I use this when I work because my work pants are rough and chafe a lot. It stops the chafing from happening and also heals up chafing if you do have it. Makes my skin so soft. Does not leave any greasy marks or anything on clothing. Would recommend 100%. I will continue buying this product!

Chamois Butt..

I love the product. It does what it says, Butt I couldn't get it out of the container as the pump is not strong enough. I finally decided to cut off the top and put the product in a glass container. Now it is useable.

Good cream. Bad pump. Not so great price anymore :(

As others have noted the pump does not work very well; The discounted price made this a good deal; however at it's new price, which almost doubled since last summer, this is no longer such a good deal. I've dropped my rating to a mediocre 3.
