Cute but very small!

Great gift for someone 3yrs or younger. Smaller than pics.

Suction VERY poor. Not as expected.

The media could not be loaded. We loved the idea that this vacuum is supposed to have suction. Let me save you the trouble by informing you that the miniscule amount of "suction" that this toy has is laughable. If you place your hand under the wand end, you may just barely feel the air movement if you concentrate really hard; like trying to hear the ocean in a seashell. If you align the wand directly over a small lightweight piece of debris, it *might* lift said debris just barely into the wand head. If you're super lucky and the debris is the size of an atom (slight exaggeration), it might actually reach the debris compartment [Insert laughing and eye-rolling]. I thought our unit was defective until I read everyone else's reviews to discover that it's just the deign of this toy. Seriously, it would have been better for them to skip the suction function and just focus on the fun aspects of the toy itself if they weren't going to actually give it enough suction to pick a few things up like a dust-buster. It has a toggle switch that can be in the off position, or a setting to make the colorful pellets in the canister swirl around, or the "suction" mode, which does not swirl the colorful pellets around. It's too bad that it can't swirl the pellets while the suction is also engaged. Note that the cord retract button and the power button are just for show, and are not functioning buttons. The colorful pellets inside the wide attachment roller head only pop around if the tiny wheels on the underside are rolling. They do not pop around by the suction or battery power of the unit. The wheels are so small and without substantial tread that they don't want to roll on our hardwood or our carpet. Thus, the pellets inside don't really pop around. They just lay stagnant inside. The hose is a very flimsy and thin plastic. I have no doubt that it will quickly kink and crack when it eventually pinches. Finally, the stick part of the vacuum does not attach to stand upright on the main canister. The photos advertising this product are a little misleading because it depicts the stick in an unrealistic upright position, it appears to be a little photoshop maybe trying to give you an idea of what it would look like in your toddlers hand? It has a spot where it looks like it could attach to the base, but there are no connection points there where I would expect. The purple piece where the attachments connect on the wand almost look like it could be an attachment spot, but I think its just a faux release button for the attachments. This is day two and my toddler has had some fun with it, but I'm not sure how long it will hold attention. I wish I could return this without any penalty, but we purchased it well before Christmas. Even on sale, I don't feel that it warrants the price. I would pay no more than maybe $15 for this toy knowing then what I know now. Anything more than that is asking too much in my opinion.

This is an awesome toy vacuum. It helps spark their imagination. Actually has suction and realistic motor. It made the 3 year old it was gifted to very happy.

Works Perfectly for a Homemade Poltergust

My son is a huge Luigi’s Mansion fan. So my husband picked this one since it looks closest to the version Luigi has. My husband spray painted the parts, used his 3d printer, installed different lights and a sound board to play different music and sounds, and installed a backpack set and it works great and looks good.

Not used as a vaccume

Bought this to create the polturgust 5000 to go with sons luigi costume for Halloween. Saved me so much time and looked super cute!

Perfect for a Poltergust G-00

We bought this to turn it into Luigi's Poltergust G-00 as my son is going to be Luigi, from Luigi's Mansion 3, for Halloween. My husband has disassembled this and added some parts and effects and it is looking fantastic. I'll upload a picture when it's complete, but if you're looking to make a Poltergust G-00 this is a great option to start with!

Not what I expected

Fairly easy to put together but very hard to get the batteries in. Once it was all together it had no suction and it just had to be dragged around the room. I could have gotten better somewhere else for a lot less and know it’s not gonna work. Very disappointed because it was a gift for my grandsons birthday.

Poor quality

Bought this for my daughter she loved it at first but the suction was not great but I didn't expect much as its a toy but its not sturdy at all my daughter was using it and the suction arm broke apart. I wouldn't recommend this toy at all save your money!

SUCTION WORKED FOR US-think its be great for poly beads

suction does actually work as apposed to other reviwers...BUT, had to put in good 'alkaline' batteries (vac takes 4 'C' size batteries) and however the suction is crazy light..i cut up tiny tiny little squares of light paper for my son to try his vacuum and it does suck, jst got to keep the little hole inside the nozzle clear, i think this vac would work great with the poly beads , however i dont have none, hence to why this product lost a star---> i dont like the idea how i have to 'make a mess' with itty bits of paper everywhere LOL, just for my son to have fun with this toy??? wish little more was just a peck more powerful. that being said my son loves this but loses interest in the suction of it then im having to clean it up with my dyson 'which works fantastic of course' lol..and seriously who wants to throw around poly beads in their house i find they get everywhere and stick to everything haha, so seems a bit messy unless you have 1 designated area in your home for your child to play with this toy if you try the beads with this, I DO NOT however. other reason for lost star -i hate the fact it takes C size batteries would prefer AA or AAA at least..C batteries are a pain to me, so think im gonna return this, as my son is constantly using my Dyson at home but scared he might break it and its not cheap, thinking about buying him a small handheld vac so at least when he goes to vacuum with me or to 'play clean' he will actually be picking up dirt/dust .. BTW unit is small, attachments are cute that come with , and the lil box in the back you dump is neat as well but tiny . the hose feels like rubbery material though so thats nice.. i figured it'd be cheap plastic but it wasn't.. AND FYI my son is only 3 yrs old to better understand my review and he is 38 inches tall, SO the size of vac to me is perfect. OH AND THERES A LIL SWITCH ON THE UNIT #1 AND #2 switch to #1 if you want the look of the beads swirling inside or switch to #2 if you want to use the light suction of the vac, and we sucked the paper up using all the attachments and the wand. crevice tool works but not the greatest.

Doesn't suction like advertised. Hose is very thin/bends very easy and cuts off the suction.

Does not suction anything except dog or cat hair. My son was very disappointed. Other than that very cute toy and my son will still play with it. Also the hose is very fragile (especially being a kids toy) if bends very easy and cuts off complete suction.

Good purchase

Bought as a present for a little boy who is a big fan of hoovers. He is happy so I am happy. He loved it. It looks bigger in the images but actually smaller but doesn't matter I guess.
