poor service

when this arrived evidently the hot water faucet had a cold water cartridge in it because it worked backwards. Then something went wrong internally and it would not shut off allowing water to pour out full speed. I discovered upon disassembly that there was something wrong and the cartridge had come apart. I returned the item. Too bad, it was a beautiful faucet set. I previously had one that cost almost $400 and when it started leaking I went to kingston but they did not have any replacement cartridges to fit it because they had changed the design. I asked for a discount on a new one but no luck. That one is lying dead in my basement.

Thick countertop? Be prepared to do some engineering.

The shanks are too short for a thicker, quartz or marble countertop. But they are too long for the spacers in the Danco shank extender kit that seems to be in every box store. Have fun making your own longer spacers out of whatever you have laying around. It's a really pretty faucet though.

Buyer beware!

Stay away from this product....not worth the money. Every joint in the upright stem started leaking within weeks of installation, and no amount of tweaking or fiddling has been able to fix it. Realizing I threw my money away as at this point it is pouring water from every joint. A little more than a year after purchasing this, and I need to replace this faucet and pay a plumber yet again for installing a new one. STAY AWAY FROM KINGSTON BRASS PRODUCTS.

Much better than original taps.

This is a quality product,looks great,original and turns on with 1/4 turn. Positive on and off,no need to use any pressure to turn off the flow.

After installation by plumber, both valvestems leaked. I ...

After installation by plumber, both valvestems leaked. I had to have the plumber return. His only suggestion was to replace the O-rings on the valves. He replaced them with a size larger O-ring and they no longer leak. I did report this to Kingston brass. The faucet is lovely, and I hope it will be worth the investment.
