Best water filter from Brita

Water filter pitchers and faucet filters are great portable water purification devices - first because they are much more affordable than the under sink gadgetry and second, it is easily transportable. Because of the low capital cost, they do not need serious thought about buying. However, they have two SERIOUS problems: 1.) the filter needs frequent replacement and every time it take a lot of time to do the initial rinse 2.) the water is not available immediately- as you might have noticed; the better the filter quality, the more it takes to filter the water This brilliant design from Brita takes care of both issues. 1.) the filter is designed to last much longer - six months at the least - even with clouded muddy water 2.) best part - the filtration is immediate As you can see in the picture it can easily fit a tall 20 oz bottle as well as 12 oz small tumbler Further, I compared this with a regular RO filter. Though, there are many benefits of RO that I wouldn’t list here , let me list a few things in favor of Brita. 1.) it doesn’t filter all minerals - I felt this water tastier than the regular tap water or RO. 2.) it is cheaper than most brand RO systems 3.) it is portable ( STILL) 4.) it is ONE filter unit ( compared to 2 or 3 for most ROs) 5.) it is easy to use - my 6 year old can easily get her water by pressing a button. It is much harder to tilt the smallest Brita pitcher 6.) the filter is 3rd party certified and removes most of the bad stuff ( like chlorine) 7.) personally, I do not like the idea of sanitizing the water to the extent of distilled water and I hate the idea of adding *certain minerals after distilling the water 8.) I don’t have to throw away residue water like RO systems - it is ultimately a waste of water. 9.) it is much faster than RO and I don’t need a separate large reservoir. The Brita task can fill 4 20z bottles completely and then some more. I think, this product would be a good fit for most households with family.

Brita Hub water tastes great!

Easy setup. Looks sleek and modern on my coffee bar. You can put the water tank adapter on two ways: with the tank on the right side, or in the back. I opened for the side for easier access. The 6 month filter life is based on 120 gal./11 glasses of water a day, so a larger family may use more than 2 filters a year. Bought this to replace a Royal Berkey with Doulton ceramic filters filled with carbon, because I want more potential contaminants removed/reduced from my well water, and I want to save money on filters. Replacing the Brita filters (projecting 3x yr.) will be about 1/2 of the cost of replacing the Doulton filters twice a year. And the water from the Brita tastes better and is hopefully cleaner. (We already have whole house sediment filter.) A reviewer said it’s noisy when pumping water, but it’s not loud. A bit expensive, but happy with the purchase.

Glorified water brita pitcher

This thing is just a pump that forces water through a charcoal filter. You're essentially buying a glorified Brita pitcher that outputs water at a faster rate. It's expensive for what you're getting because it's a Hamilton Beach appliance (the brand that sells cheap toasters and blenders at Walmart). When unpacking, I could tell the build was cheap and would not last long like other Hamilton Beach appliances I've owned in years past. If you're happy with the taste of water coming out of your normal Brita pitcher but just want it a little faster, and you don't mind paying for that convenience, then this is for you. I'm just not willing to pay over $100 for what is essentially a pump. I should have read the descriptions better because I somehow thought this filter would be different than the kinds that come in the Brita pitchers. If you know what you're buying, then it's fine. It's just not good value. Hence 3 stars - not bad but not good either.

Love This Countertop Water Filter

Everything about this is great, except the price is maybe a bit high. But if it works for a few years I will be overjoyed. It looks great and works great. I would bet the filter will not last but a few months (maybe three or four -- we'll see) as 120 gallons goes by faster than you think, especially if you use the water for coffee, tea, and gym bottle, which I do. Even so, the replacement filter is not that expensive and, all in all, this is a wonderful item. I especially like the options of 12 oz, 20 oz, or free pouring, all that can be stopped at anytime during the pour by just re-tapping the selection. I also love the taste of the water coming out of the filter. I highly recommend this product.

Great Water Instanly

So glad I switched from the old style basic filter Brita tank system. I was looking for a water filter that would filter out more substances (particularly the microplastics and chemicals), compared many systems, read reviews, and finally decided on the Brita Hub. I can't make it thru the night without a huge 20 oz glass of water on my nightstand. The left over water still tastes great in the morning. No waiting for the water to slowly filter. The instant filtered water is the best. Now I also filter my cooking. The auto 12oz and 20oz dispenser buttons also make it so easy to dispense and walk away without the water overfilling. Totally recommend the Brita Hub.
