Beautiful watch

I love the brand. This is my second Skagen watch. They aren't the top end watch as most Swiss watches are. But they are made well. I love the movement on my current one. I did notice this one says Denmark on the box. Not sure if the company is based in Danmark. But my current one said Swiss Made. I do not like the design. But overall fitment is bit clunky for mid-range watches. Sounds like lower end watches. Perhaps the quality on the band is not as higher quality as before. I still love the watch color, dial and movement. I wish the band was of better quality. I still recommend to anyone who wants to try a underappreciated watch brand.

Basic but elegant

I've had the Skagen/Grenen on the left for 15 or 20 years, so they are durable quality watches. I'm clumsy and I've smashed it into more walls, door frames and desks over the years than I can count, but it's held up. I only quit wearing it over the past 3 years because the battery died and the only jeweler in town with the tooling to get the back off went out of business. It needed a battery every 18 months and they were getting to be $20 a pop, which was annoying. Enter my new Skagen! The band design is more integrated and elegant, but it's still the stainless steel mesh that I love so much. It's indestructible. And the new one is solar-powered so there's no more batteries! I either push my cuff up while driving or leave it on the dash of the car to make sure it gets some sunlight every day. The face is glow-in-the-dark, but you have to expose it to strong light and even then it only glows for 20 minutes or so. The crown sticks out farther than on my old watch, but the old one was so hard to pull out I'd often have to pry it out with something. Given that this watch might 'die' more often and have to be adjusted after recharging, it makes sense to be able to do that more easily. I have skinny little wrists and I have the band adjusted to roughly the middle. This watch band could be adjusted to fit a child. There are no instructions anywhere in the box, but if you don't know how to adjust the band you can find a YT video. You just flip up the latch plate with a small screwdriver, slide it to a detent and then push it back down. The double-latching catch has never failed on my old watch and you don't have to worry about losing your good watch. I'm blind without my reading glasses and I can still see the numbers on this watch. It's just clean, straightforward and understated design. I love it.

Well designed

This watch is well designed. I like the blue color on the face and it matches well with the silver band. The face isn't large but is still a decent size. I wish that the band was adjustable as my wrists are small, so it falls down on my hand. It's solar powered, so should last a long time.

Elegant but still every day wearable

First things first in case you were wondering (because I was) this is the women’s version of the watch. I couldn’t find anywhere on the page where it says it’s a women’s version so I had to wait until it came in to see. But it is, in fact, the women’s version! Now to the watch itself. It’s elegant and simple and design, and I love that! It’s one of those watches that you can wear every day, but still get away with wearing to special events, because it looks classy and elegant enough. Anyone that wears watches knows that it’s a pain in the butt to change the battery in the watches, plus I can get quite pricey over the years. So I really like the fact this is solar rechargeable! sure you have to make sure you get some sun on it basically every day, but that’s a good thing anyways so I’m all for it. Overall I’m loving it so far and expect it to last years and years!

Great Design, Solar Works Well

Skagen was never a Danish company - it was "inspired" by Skagen/Danish design. Some interesting marketing. They started in NY - now owned by Fossil & run out of TX. It has always been a USA brand. I find it a bit deceiving that they push a Danish connection when it is just a design influenced by Danish design. They are not a luxury brand but a good & dependable brand. Having said that, I do really like many of their designs & the design of this watch is one of their classics & my favorite. There are no instructions included with this watch. It did come charged & keeping time once I removed the stem protector. If you charge it in full sun, it will get hot which will probably degrade the battery over time. A bright room or lamp seems to charge this well. The band is adjustable & it is easy to do – I did it myself. Just search online – Skagen has a video.

This product arrived quickly and in minimal packaging. Over all this watch is pretty nice. the watch is petite and light but still large enough to read the face. the band fits perfectly around my wrist and the watch is well made. i dont know much about the brand but the warranty seams very good and from what I have found about the company they take good care of their customers. I feel the price is acceptable.
