Good but not great

This laser stand is much, much more improved over the one that originally came with the laser, the biggest problem I've found is that when laser is installed on the stand, there is no way to lock down the side to side motion of the laser. I understand that it is also used to attach laser to stand, but after it is attached, there should be something to lock it down after. Otherwise, even the tiniest nudge will cause it move out of square. Not something super critical, but it is annoying. if this improvement was made then it would deserve a 5 star rating.

Nice mount

Works well. Magnetic back is very strong. The lock does not work.

Great product but...

This is a very sturdy and well built product. My only criticism is the turn knob. The knob is not designed to be handled in a work environment. It is almost smooth even though it has indentations and is a little hard to turn. I have the same problem with the laser level. The on/off switch is very hard to move and has no proper grip. I have to use two hands to move the switch. Not very good design by such a strong company like Bosch.

Beefy mount- needs improvement IMO

I am a remodeling contractor. My CST/Berger laser mount for my CST/Berger pole wasn't working right so I bought the Bosch bm1 with the intention of using it with my CST/Berger pole (exactly like the Bosch pole system). I have a heavy rotating laser- the acculine pro by Johnson. That is why I went with the BM1 versus the Bosch BM3 (for smaller lasers). My laser has the larger mounting threaded hole (5/8") and my pole system came with an adapter to change from the small (1/4") to the large (5/8"). Two problems: 1- (my oversight). You have to buy the Bosch bm350 pole system in order to use the BM1. Well I could have fabricated something to make the bm1 work with mine- no big deal. 2- The bm1 has 1/4" and 5/8" female on the bottom of the mount (good). But on the top threaded nut it's only 1/4". I tried using my adapter but it doesn't lock on tight because the Bosch's male thread isn't recessed like my CST/Berger mount. Ok that's my problem but why not include an appropriate adapter if the bm1 is designed for heavier lasers with use the 5/8" threading? The bm350 pole system has no fine adjustments so maybe the bm1 is an up sell. Ok fine. But it doesn't work well with larger lasers with the 5/8" threads. I have other Bosch tools and sadly I am going to have to return this item. Perhaps Bosch only designed this system to work with their lasers. I am not going to spend the money to find out. note: picture shown includes my 1/4" to 5/8" adapter which doesn't work with the bm1 and my acculine pro laser.

I'm using this on top an extra camera tripod I have, but I feel it would be ideal with a metal laser pole. The ability to make adjustments in the height and then lock it in really helps to fine tune. It does NOT work with a Zip Pole as I was told by the Bosch people and is the reason I bought it. The Zip Poles are aluminum. I'm still keeping it though as it's well built.

Seems good but not for my purpose

The media could not be loaded. Looks really sturdy. But my main reason why I bought it is shown in the video. Unfortunately that makes it pretty much useless. This could only be resolved if the magnet would be much stronger.

Got it some time ago, very pleased with purchase. Acurate, adjustable and very handy. Advice to Bosch - think of a better magnets!!!
