Floating Worm, Fish'em on a Slip Weight

All Berkley Powerbait colors are great, but I particularly like pink, orange, and this Chartreuse/Yellow/Greenish color. Seems to have better visibility in stained water and muddy water, and great draw in clear water of course. I fish them from the bottom on a slip sinker with a swivel on the braid side, and then using 6lb mono or fluorocarbon on a size 12 to 16 caddis-style hook. Great for trout and panfish.

squiggly little trout enticer

one of the best little trout baits out there. fished under a slip bobber and a small feathery jig head. one little sniff of the power bait worm and trouts light up with anticipation, until they get smoked in my smoker. they honestly bite and won’t let go as stated.

Not as consistent a bite as mice tails

Very durable just like most of PowerBait’s soft plastic line. And you do get quite a few worms for only $4.99. That being said I have tried fishing these on a number of rigs, using multiple techniques, in all different weather conditions and the trout bite just isn’t as consistent as with PowerBait’s mice tails. I think these are a well made product that you should have in your tackle box to provide you with options but I just haven’t been as successful with them as I have been with other lures and baits.

These worms are two toned which presents a different color to the fish. Also they float when using a small mosquito hook.

Caught trout with these. Work them slow.

Trout loves it

Switched around from flies, to salmon eggs, to jigs, to nuggets and finally floating worms. Trout starts hitting this bait faster and more often. Last around 15 to 20 casts after several hits and catches of trout. Will be using these from now on.

Update: I love Berkley Bubble Gum (dark pink) because never disappoint me I catch lots of fish with that in different rivers and lakes; however, I cannot say same thing with Pink Shad I have tried many times never caught one. Last weekend I went Crowsnest River with my fellows I start with Pink shad about 20min not even a bite, my friend who is very fresh fisherman wanted to use my rod, so replace the lure with Bubble Gum (dark pink) because I know it won't disappoint me, so his first cast he got Brook trout he was so happy. Bubble Gum is not available in Berkley's this summer, I cannot find bubble gum any where except Canadian Tire whose sells so expensive.
