Stress coat is a great product in removing chemicals & keeping fish stress free during water changes
I have been using API Stress Coat for years to help with removing toxic chemicals from our tap water. It also have aloe in it helping you fish stay stress free while doing water changes or when your adding new fish to your tank. I use it combined with API Quick Start. I follow the directions on the bottles per size of my tank using the recommended amounts of each one as I add water back to my tank. Using them together I have rarely lost any fish during water changes. I use the Python no spill clean & fill system and it's a game changer! You must have this as it suctions the water out using your garden hose spicket, or your kitchen faucet, and also with the push of a switch fills it back up! I sprinkle the stress coat and quick start in the tank before starting to add water back in and save 1/4 of it and add it half way through it filling up to make sure it keeps helping the water instantly coming back in stay safe for the fish. This is an A+ product.

Always Does The Trick
I've used this with my koi for three years now. Helps rebuild their slime coats extremely well. I would use a water conditioner to remove chlorine from city tap water, as I've noticed my levels usually don't decrease very much with this even though it says it should. Still recommend this product, especially for quarantined koi.

This stuff is slick!
Seems like every time I do a water change my jacks and albino's stop eating and just go down to the bottom and start doing some deep breathing? Now I add this in every time and they don't skip a beat...they just act normal. Cheap insurance. I always have a bottle on hand, the price is right and they give you a nice amount.

Worked well...
Original fish were fine. Bought new fish after putting them in the tank, they started sitting at the top and just acting weird. Put this in and within an hour all of them were fine.

Removes Chlorine good
I never saw it do anything with stress but my fish also aren’t really stressed. It does remove chlorine and for what it does and what it gives you it is 100 percent worth it and I highly recommend buying it. I only bought regular chlorine remover once and have bought this since. It works really well. Would definitely recommend.

Awesome for fins.
Using this consistently with my water changes I have noticed his fins have been healing since I got him not to mention he’s been less stress since then.

Seems to prep water well for fish
It does neutralize chlorine as I have used city water immediately after draw and treatment with loaches that are extra sensitive to chlorine. I assume the other aspects it treats work similarly well as I have had no issues with changed waters after more than a year of use. Normally I let water sit a few days before treating and using.

I came across this product about a year ago prior to which i was not afish owner. after years of wanting guppies i finally did some serching and bought this as i wanted to make sure the water was safe prior to getting my fish, IT WORKED, i even got test strips to be safe plus took a water sample to where i was buying my guppies from TOP JOB, so here i am one year later i dont do measurements never have :D but when i change some of the water i add a drop needless to say my fish are great care free and happy. how do i know ? well one of my females had lots of fry she felt safe and happy enough to give birth in her home. all fry are doing great in a seperate tank with API stress coat added too so no it will not harm them and i love api will always buy from this seller top price thanks

Wrong item recieved at the worst time!
I bought and paid next day delivery for this item which is clearly API stress coat as my black moor developed a white slime coat overnight and began just floating at the bottom of the tank. So I knew it was urgent to try and resolve this, I had tried other options like a water change etc and this was apparently the best thing to try . Didn’t get delivered until 10 mins to 10pm so after a long day at work I set to work emptying 50% of my tank to add the stress coat only to open it up and I’ve recieved ammo lock!! Yes I can get a replacement tomorrow but that’s not the point as I also have to mess around returning the other wrong item. How can you send the wrong item. So annoyed

DO NOT BUY THIS POISON
Do not buy this, for the love of your fish! buy it from your local store, but not from here. Normally they come with a neutral smell, but the one from amazon smells disgusting and off and also even the tinniest amount made my 60L tank water go blue, I put just less than the recommended dose and within minutes my tank turned blue and stank up the place, while I did a water change my partner ran down to the PetsAtHome shop and got us a fresh new bottle and it had a normal smell with nothing and my water didnt turn blue of funky.. this will kill your fish. be careful.

Happy fish
I bought the API Stress Coat having just bought a larger 350L Juwel Trigon tank. I wanted to house tropical fish, It had been a number of years since I last looked after fish, so I wanted to do it right. Despite speaking with a number of shops, who were quite dismissive of API (They were good 15 years ago, they're cheap and not so good now) I read the reviews on here and others. I am glad I made my own mind up on this and bought this product, the Stress coat has been wonderful, the fish are visibly happier with a drop of this in the water. I did a 25% cycle using this just the other day and despite doing this a very old fashion (Jug and bucket) which I would have thought would have upset the fish, using this it did not. I would highly recommend and will be buying again when I get low.

Best thing you'll ever need in your tank.
This is well worth every penny and I personally wouldn't use anything else in my tank. I ran out of this product once and brought a different make that didn't have stress coat in it. I lost four of my fish and ive learnt to just stick with the best.
