My Irrigation Valve is now Working!

My valve diaphragm replacement (made by Rain Bird) arrived today, ahead of schedule, well-packaged, and in perfect condition. Best of all, my irrigation valve is now repaired. I would certainly buy from this reliable small company again.

Simple to install, fixed bad valves

Just be sure the rubber gasket is laying perfectly flat around the screw holes, other wise the seal will will not be 100%. Other than that, about a few minute job to replace

BAM....FIXED!!!!

Leaking valve fixed. Put this off and dealt with it thinking I had to replace the entire valve (which is a project because I didn't have room for the removable coupling attachment when I installed the valves). I read on another review that the solenoids could be the problem so I ordered those also. Started with the new "gasket" and it worked. If it leaks again I will change out the solenoid.

Beats replacing the whole valve

What could have been a very costly plumbers repair was fixed with this kit. Turn the water off, get a shop vac and clean the area around the valve, take off the 6 screws, clean again with the shop vac and reassemble.

perfect fit, even after 14 years!

This was a perfect fit for my 14-year old sprinkler zone controller. Unfortunately, the problem I'm having was not solved by the diaphragm, but I can say that it was a perfect match and installation only took me about 5 minutes. 1) unscrew the solenoid and set it aside (hopefully you can do this without removing any wires) 2) now you can undo the 6 screws that hold the top housing onto your valve. 3) lift the top housing straight up and carefully note the orientation of the existing diaphragm...your new one is going to go in exactly the same way 4) pull off the old diaphragm and discard 5) place the new diaphragm into the same location and carefully "snap" the edges into the groove of the plastic of the housing. 6) carefully place the spring upright just as the old spring had been located 7) lower the top housing straight down on top of the valve, be careful not to knock over the spring 8) install all 6 screws- be careful to cinch things up evenly. Do it kind of like tightening the bolts on a car wheel: using a star pattern 9) screw the solenoid back into place 10) voila Good luck!
