Great Looking Boots
Stylish and comfortable. I gave these to my husband for Christmas. He has wider feet with high arches and has difficulty with most boots and shoes and finds 7 1/2 W usually fits him best but almost always has to go up to an 8 because his foot is so wide. In these boots a size 8 reg width fits him perfectly and he says they are not too hard to get on. He says they're the most comfortable boots/shoes he's ever had. He loves the way they look. He says he's gotten several compliments at work wearing the tan ones with burnish toe. So I ordered him another pair in the Crazy Horse color since they are also affordable.

Ive been wearing these boots for nearly 2 years now, one of the seams by the elastic is busted and i could fix it if i were less lazy but theyre still holding strong aside from that

A little short up the ankle
I suppose it had to happen someday; they sent me a return. We know this because there are creases across the instep and a sock was stuffed into the toe of each boot. The soles were perfect out of the box so the first buyer had the decency to wear them on carpet, but still, those creases are not my creases. The worst is, the sellers warehoused them again and sent them on to me without opening the box to find that the boots were infected with mildew. The blame goes to an outfit called Zappos and, so long amigos, we won't be buying from you again. Amazon agreed to send a replacement pair free of charge, this time sold by Amazon itself, but after a day I decided to cancel the replacement order and return the stinky pair, which I can do at no cost either because I'm an Amazon Prime member or simply because they take my word for it that the boots are unwearable and unsellable. Amazon customer service is that good. The rest of the review will be about the boots, supposing they were not stinking returns. They're described as crazy-horse leather but they're not as matte as all that. They come burnished on the toe & heel and from my experience with other crazy-horse products, if you work this leather with saddle soap and wax polish you can get it to a nice shine all around the boot if that's what you want. Otherwise they have a sort of satin appearance except for those burnished areas. They are comfortable once you tug them on and the shape of the toe is perfectly balanced between pointed & round, so with the sleek shape up the foot that you get without laces, this boot looks great on your feet. The only thing is you dassen't be wearing them with extremely skinny jeans because they're about a half-inch too short up the ankle. You have to wear them with jeans/chinos that have an opening of about 16 inches around and long enough so that they just barely break over your instep. Even at that you're going to be bothered every time you get up from a chair to check that your jeans aren't hiked up above the top of the boots at the heel where the pull tabs bend outward. I tuck the tabs into the boots until they're trained to stay close to my achilles tendon. These chelseas are made of okay-quality leather but there's just no depth to it, so I would have been better off getting the smooth tan or black. The construction is good, plus they have a hi-tech insole that makes them instantly comfortable for walking, which I know from another pair of Nunn Bush with the same type of insole. The broguing detail is unique; I didn't see it on any other chelsea boot I looked at on my way to this one. I just wish they were taller. But it also has to be said that at this price the stitching around the sole has got to be purely decorative. When the soles wear down you won't be able to have them fully refurbished though you may find a cobbler willing to grind off the remaining rubber and glue on a new outsole. I've decided against them because for 20 bucks more I can probably find taller chelseas made of better leather even if I have to give up the broguing.

Nicely made. Comfortable. A bit short on the ankle but nothing that makes it look bad. I love boots but bad foot makes it harder to wear a full cowboy boot. This is a very nice alternstive

Not too hot in summer
Was wondering if my feat would sweat much with these in hot humid weather. But so far they do not. Other boots are too hot but not these. Was tight at first but now I get them on off no problem. Feel comfortable walking distance. I like them.

Wide size is not wide!
Beautiful boots! The leather as a nice color! But the sizing is terrible! Ordered 10.5 W and had to return it. Ordered 11W and its so tight had to put them in a shoe widener/expander. If you have wide feet don't order these!

Great Looking Boot
This is a great looking boot. Goes very well with jeans and dress slacks. I bought a 9 Wide and it feels a little loose however if I were to wear it for an extended period of time my feet would swell so this was the correct size for me.

Very nice boot - well constructed and fashionable. Great width for me but found the boot too long and my foot slid. Would suggest ordering a size smaller.
