It was exactly as described

I had expected the computer I ordered to have the HDMI adapter not this kind of adapter and because I want to play with a new computer I went to Walmart and bought the adapter that I needed this is exactly the table that said it was supposed to be and I'm thankful for it Like all geeks I can't wait to play with a new computer so that one on myself until I need it again in in 5 to 10 years and thank you thank you it will go nicely on my shelf

Latches Broken but picture fine

I ordered two in order to replace a "better made" Uni branded cable that I suspect somehow fried the displayports on three of my video cards. My main "monitor" is a 50 inch TV over HDMI, but the other three video outputs are Displayport and my two smaller monitors only have HDMI input. These two monitors are not being used for anything that needs a high refresh rate or any competitive gaming. One monitor is a Huion Kamvas for art, the other is a small 22 inch TV. Even connected over a cheap coupler and a 6 foot extension cable, the signal is clear and fast enough to watch video, play games on, and anything else I want on my secondary monitors while using my TV for console gaming. My only issue is that one of the two cables either lacks the advertised locking cable, or the button to release the locking clamps is broken.

Works very good with modern displayport, but not so good with displayport 1.2

Works very good with new computer using modern displayports. However, mediorce quality signal/resolution (but still tolerable) with older computer and AMD R7750 graphic card with displayport 1.2. Not sure why that would be, but there is a noticable loss of sharpness/resolution with this cable vs a vga connection on old computer. Purchased this cable to use with new computer so I'm happy with it.

When your monitor is HDMI, but your GPU is DP!

The monitor I needed is a nice one, but just has HDMI, the Nvidia GPU only has Display Port connections available, so...this cable was exactly what I needed. Please pay attention, this is only one-way, you CANNOT run a DP monitor off of HDMI with this, only an HDMI off of a DP.

Connects An Old Computer To A TV

I have an older DELL minitower computer that I use for periodic tasks and decided to connect an old flat screen tv to it as a secondary monitor. This cable allowed me to plug in to the computers’ DisplayPort ports and output video to the tv’s HDMI connections. I have tried both DisplayPort plugs on the computer as well as all three HDMI ports on the tv without any problems. The video is fine for watching movies (my reason for doing this) but limited to what this low-end tv can do. Not a surprise but something to be mindful of if you plan to do the same. Overall, I am happy with this cable since it appears to be well made and is functioning fine. Hopefully, this review is helpful to you.

Great for computer monitors

Had to hookup monitors with hdmi to a computer with display cable connection, these cords where cheaper then the adapters and look better too!!!! But now I have to go back to working ughhh!!!

説明にある通り、displayportからHDMIへの変換のみ可能です。逆は不可です。

説明を理解せずに、間違って購入してしまった。自分の環境はPC側がHDMI、モニター側がdispayportです。これでは使えません。ケーブル代ドブに捨てたー。

Works only with Display Port out and HDMI in and not vice versa

Before you purchase the cable make sure you are using it as Display port out and HDMI in. For example if your graphics card has a display port out and your monitor has HDMI in, you will see a picture on your screen. If you try to use it as HDMI out and display port in IT WILL NOT WORK. Dont blame the cable. Please keep that in mind when you buy this cable.

Achtung! Nicht geeignet für Rechner mit HDMI-Ausgang!

Nur um es nochmal deutlich zu sagen: Diese Kabel funktioniert NUR von einem DisplayPort-AUSGANG auf einen HDMI-EINGANG! Man kann also mit diesem Kabel NICHT einen Rechner mit HDMI-Ausgang an einen Monitor mit DisplayPort-Eingang anschließen. Das ist technisch nicht möglich und geht auch mit keinem anderen Kabel!

Make sure you are using to go from DisplayPort to HDMI and not the other way around

IMPORTANT INFO: I'm sure the cable works fine, but I had to return it, as I was trying to use an HDMI output from a laptop to a DisplayPort input on a monitor. After searching why it wasn't working, I found out that you can't use it that way (a Computer HDMI can not upconvert to DisplayPort), you would need a separate converter. Hope this is helpful when analyzing your need. I finally purchased the HDMI to DVI cable and that worked perfectly.
